I. How it works
Piece by piece, the file becomes the draft.
Starling gathers what is on the file and builds the document from it.
An illustration: an engraving of the roots of a tree, with one thing from the file at the end of each root. Ink rises through each root in turn, and a section of a demand letter is written as it does. The consultation call, the emails, the employment contract, the pay records, and counsel’s notes become the sections named Background, Chronology, Termination provisions, Compensation, and Demand. The letter is then marked ready for review.

- Documents are prepared on your firm’s precedents and read as your firm’s work.
- Confined to the file
- Each draft takes its facts from the documents on the file.
- Case law for notice periods
- A case law database supports each notice period assessment.
- Your firm’s knowledge
- Your firm can add its own knowledge to Starling.

V. Confidentiality
Client information is protected

- Data is stored in Canada.
- Identifiers coded before analysis

- Zero data retention
- A zero data retention agreement covers what is sent for analysis. The AI provider keeps nothing.
- Counsel’s review
- Every draft is reviewed by counsel before it leaves your firm. Starling sends nothing on your behalf.
