Our Mission

Most people who lose their job in Ontario accept less than they're owed.

Not because they don't have rights, but because they don't know what those rights are, and finding out has always meant paying thousands upfront for a lawyer. We built DemandPay to change that.

Jordan is a licenced Ontario employment lawyer who watched the same pattern play out again and again: an employee gets terminated, the employer offers a few weeks' pay, and the employee signs because they don't know what they're entitled to or can't afford to find out.

The gap between what employers offer and what Ontario law provides is real. But the traditional path to closing that gap (retaining a lawyer at $400 to $600 per hour, or giving up 30% of your settlement) puts the solution out of reach for the people who need it most.

The majority of workers make under $120,000 per year. Most can't afford an hourly retainer, and their cases are often too small for lawyers to take on contingency. That leaves them with no option but to accept whatever the employer offers. DemandPay was built to fix that. It exists so everyday workers can access justice through affordable, timely, and high quality legal resources.

What DemandPay does

DemandPay gives Ontario employees the tools to understand their entitlements, build a professional demand letter grounded in real court decisions, and negotiate from a position of knowledge. At a fraction of what traditional legal services cost. DemandPay guides users through the full negotiation process, including filing a Statement of Claim and navigating the court process.

Your demand letter and Statement of Claim are reviewed and approved by a licenced lawyer on every case. This isn't a chatbot guessing at your rights. It's a legal technology platform built by someone who knows how these cases actually work.
